Help Counter Attack Ads Against Rand Paul

I want to thank you for your generosity in supporting Rand Paul’s campaign for the United States Senate. I have joined you in this investment, and am elated to see it paying dividends. Rand Paul’s principled campaign has turned into a force to be reckoned with after leading all other candidates in the third quarter fundraising, and we are already using these resources to inform voters by direct mail and to equip grassroots supporters. This was only accomplished thanks to you.

Our opponent is running scared after recent events, and the establishment is preparing to attack us the only way they know how. For several weeks, the Grayson campaign has been spyingon Dr. Paul, tracking him from Morgantown to Cynthiana. Last night the Grayson dirty tricks unit followed Dr. Paul to his church to monitorand record him serving “Beans and Cornbread” to raise money to help the indigent with eye exams and glasses.

According to Dr. Paul, “The whole scenario is quite amusing. They pay someone to drive five hours round trip to video me flipping corncakes on the grill. I’m sure I won’t be laughing, though, when they splice the footage together, add an ominous voice, and then begin their smear campaign.

“It’s kind of creepy having some guy who won’t even respond to a friendly ‘Hello’ filming me eating and in private conversation. Of course, it’s entirely possible their intentions are honorable.

“Perhaps they’re just taking the footage back to Trey so he can get some content and real opinions on issues into his speeches. If that’s the case, I can save them some time — over 90 of my speeches are available online at www.randpaul2010.com.”

Signaling that our opponent’s early lead is fast evaporating, the attacks on Dr. Paul have already begun, and we expect many more to come. It is imperative that we not only counter the attacks, but have the funds left over to make Rand’s message of liberty resound across Kentucky! The sooner we know what resources we have to win with, the more effectively we can put our strategy into effect.
